About Me - David Martin

I've been in the glass industry for over 20 years. I started at Corning (Pyrex) in Sunderland,where we made glass for the scientific and laboratory industries.

I then joined Sunderland Glass works based at the National Glass Centre. We made ornamental glassware. We also made traditional glass muffs, this is the traditional and ancient way of making stained glass sheets.

I now have a position as a glass-maker at the National Glass Centre.

I am also an independent glass artist making glassware using ancient techniques.

I hope you enjoy looking at my glass as much as I enjoy making it.
